December 9 2019 -January 3 2020

Opening Reception and Meet the Artists: Friday, December 13, 5-7pm

Free and open to the public

The mystery of the far horizon and the beauty of brilliant, harmonious color combine in Rebecca McNeely’s paintings to portray the excitement of freedom, movement and wide-open natural spaces. Known for her masterful use of color and expressive brushstrokes, she builds up layers and glazes of pure and blended pigments alla prima. Drawing upon her intuition, imagination, training and memories, she responds to the prompts of the individual painting as she works.

It will be a particularly delightful treat to see a collection of Rebecca’s work at the Overlook Galleryin Gallery Clarendon.  Rebecca is an active and exhibiting member of Arlington Artists Alliance, Gallery Clarendon, Cyan Studios, Gallery 75 and The Art League of Alexandria. Her paintings are in private and public collections and have been juried into numerous local and national exhibits.

Before you reach the Overlook, you will pass through the main gallery, where there will be new work hanging by Gallery Clarendon member artists, along with sculpture, jewelry, metalwork, glass, wood, ceramics, and mixed media.  The opening reception is free to the public, and many of the artists will be present and would love to meet you and discuss their work.
